We run on Volunteer Power
We can only accomplish everything we do thanks to people generously volunteering their time. We’re always looking for volunteers who can help us do more.
We are members of Volunteer Waterloo Region and post our most needed volunteers on its website.
Anyone interested in volunteering is requested to come to the store and fill out a volunteer application.
Most of our volunteers work one of more regular shifts each week. Shifts are usually 2 to 5 hours. While we can always use new volunteers, it may be for specific days and time periods.
We welcome high school students who want to meet their Ontario community involvement requirement. Some come frequently late in the afternoon on school days, some on PD days and school breaks. We ask students to keep an ongoing tally of their hours.
